Add SimplyDo to Teams

The SimplyDo app for Microsoft Teams lets people take part without leaving Teams. In the app they can:

• find and read challenges
• create, edit and submit ideas
• see, comment on and like other people’s ideas, if the challenge allows it

Running SimplyDo, such as creating or managing challenges, still happens in SimplyDo itself. The app doesn’t read any of your other Microsoft 365 data, and it never deletes anything.

The app signs people in with their Microsoft account, so your organisation needs to use sign-in with Microsoft.

Install the app

1. In Teams, click Apps in the side bar.
2. Search for SimplyDo and select it. It’s published and verified by SimplyDo.
3. Click Add. Teams installs the app on all your devices.
4. When Teams asks where to use it, choose Open. You can add it to a channel later.

If you can’t find SimplyDo or the Add button is missing, your organisation may not allow people to add apps themselves. Ask your Teams administrator to allow or install it for you. If your administrator has given you an app file instead, go to Apps › Manage your apps, click Upload an app and choose the file.

Open the app

SimplyDo appears in the Teams side bar. If you can’t see it, click … (View more apps) and choose SimplyDo. To keep it in the side bar, right-click its icon and choose Pin.

Once the app is open, select the SimplyDo tab to get started. The Activity tab shows notifications and updates.
