Choose impacts for this challenge

Pick the impacts people estimate, and offer ranges to choose from.

Under Impacts in this challenge, the organisation’s impacts are listed. Turn on the ones that fit your challenge; people can only record the impacts you turn on.

  1. Turn on an impact, here Time saved. Its settings open below it.

  2. Click Pin to project board to show the impact on every idea’s card on the project board. Pin the three or four that matter most.

  3. Under Add new option or range, enter a range, here 1 to 5 hours, and click Add range. People can then pick it instead of working out an exact figure. Add as many ranges as you need.

  4. Turn on another impact, here Cost saved. Under Impact visibility, untick the stages it doesn’t apply to. Here, untick User estimate, so only the project team estimates costs.

Each option has a Weight, which tells SimplyDo how much impact it represents compared with the others. To let people enter an exact figure as well, turn on Allow custom input. For savings that repeat, such as hours saved every week, turn on Impact can be recurring.
