Set the open date and deadline

Open and close a challenge automatically at set times.

Give a draft challenge an open date and SimplyDo opens it for you at that time. A deadline closes it to new ideas automatically. You can change or turn off either date at any time.

Setting an open date needs permission to open challenges. Without it, the Open date toggle is greyed out and you can ask an administrator to open the challenge instead.

  1. Near the bottom of the Details page in your challenge’s settings, turn on Open date. It starts a week from today; change the date and time if you need to.

  2. Turn on Challenge deadline.

  3. Pick the date the challenge should close. It must be after the open date. Changes save automatically.

To let people whose interests match the challenge know when it opens, also turn on Send notifications and emails under the open date. Dates and times use the time zone shown below them.
