Set field rules
Make fields required, show them only when they apply, or hide answers from everyone but managers.
Every field has settings below its title and description that control when it must be answered, when it shows and who sees the answers. You can combine them.
People can’t submit their idea until they’ve answered a required field. Dropdown and multiple selection fields need at least one option first.
In the field’s settings, tick Set field as required.
Click Save format.
A conditional field only shows when earlier answers meet the conditions you set, so the form can branch. Here, people are only asked for more detail when they choose Other. A required field that is hidden doesn’t stop anyone submitting.
In the settings of the field to show or hide, tick Conditionally show this field.
Click Add a condition.
Under 1. Field with name, choose the question the condition depends on, here Which area does it cover?.
Under 2. Meets condition, choose is equal to:, then pick the answer under …with value, here Other.
Click Save format.
Answers to a field restricted to managers are only shown to people who manage the challenge, not to other people who can see the idea. Use it for confidential details, such as costs.
In the field’s settings, tick Restrict visibility to managers.
Click Save format.
