Add a section
Group questions into sections, including EDI and impact sections.
Sections group the questions in your format. People move between them in a side menu while they fill in their idea. Besides standard sections, there are a few special types.
A standard section groups related questions. Everyone filling in the form sees it, and it can hold any type of field.
Below the section it should follow, click Add new section and choose Standard section. An empty section is added.
Give the section a name in Section name, here About your team.
Click Save format.
An EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) section is for sensitive questions. Answers in it are only visible to people with the View EDI permission, so challenge managers and assessors don’t see them.
Below the section it should follow, click Add new section and choose EDI section. The new section is shaded red and marked EDI.
Give the section a name in Section name, here Equality and diversity.
Click Save format.
An organisation profile section asks people to attach a profile of their organisation, which they can fill in automatically or by hand. It’s useful when businesses or other organisations submit ideas, instead of asking for their details as separate questions. A format can have one.
Below the section it should follow, click Add new section and choose Organisation Profile section. The section explains what people are asked for.
To make a profile mandatory before submitting, turn on Require organisation profiles. You can also Restrict visibility to managers, so only people who manage the challenge see the profiles.
Click Save format.
An impacts section marks where people estimate the impact of their idea in the form. It only shows when impact statements are turned on for the challenge, so the option only appears then.
Below the section it should follow, click Add new section and choose Impacts section. The section is a placeholder: people see the challenge’s impact statement here.
Click Save format.
To choose which impacts people estimate, see Measure impact.
