Create a short link

Make a short, easy-to-remember link to your challenge.

Short links live on sdi.click, so sdi.click/greener-ways can take people straight to your challenge. They’re easier to type and remember than the full address, and SimplyDo counts every click. You need access to the admin area and to your organisation’s settings to create one.

  1. In the admin area, open Links from the side menu.

  2. Click Create a new short link.

  3. Click Search by name…, type the challenge’s name and choose it from the list. This fills in the address to shorten and the description.

  4. Type the end of the link into Short URL, here greener-ways. Use letters, numbers and dashes. It must not already be taken by anyone on SimplyDo.

  5. Change the Description to remind you where you’ll share the link, here Intranet news story.

  6. Click Create. The new link appears at the top of the list.

Create a separate link for each place you share your challenge, such as one for email and one for Teams. You can then compare how well each one works.
